In a globalised and digital world, however, dominant cultures often overshadow smaller ones, making it harder for local or minority content to be seen, shared, or funded. To protect and promote cultural diversity, the Salifu Dagarti Foundation aids and supports local artists with funding and infrastructure, introduces quotas or visibility requirements for local content on streaming platforms, and ensures fair access to international markets and mobility. Education, community media, and legal protections for traditional knowledge also play essential roles in what we do at SDF as it aids in keeping culture alive and evolving.
